C1 Low Jitter Clock
One of the most critical areas of a digital source is the master clock. The vast majority of commercial cd players contain just a simple crystal oscillator which in audiophile terms is completely inadequate. Replacing the standard part with one of our fantastic value, high-performance clocks will boost your player dramatically; enabling you to hear the original performance as intended. Small musical detail and soundstaging improve markedly, each instrument has its own space and place in the soundstage.
These clocks have been designed to offer an affordable upgrade, but also offer very high performance. This difficult double-act is achieved by using state-of-the-art components, such as an incredibly high specification low-noise voltage reference and a very stable oscillator. All components are surface mount and each have had their values specifically chosen for optimum performance. This enables the clock to reject interference, minimise possible jitter and remain incredibly compact.
There are three holes in the pcb to enable easy fitting of 7805 (or similar) +5v regulator, or for even better performance one of the fantastic SPower regs
