The standard clock reference inside most CD players is woefully inadequate offering at best a mediocre jitter performance. Timing is the essence of musicality and without an accurate clock in your digital source, you will never hear the original performance as it was intended.

These clocks have been designed to offer an affordable upgrade, but also offer very high performance. This difficult double-act is achieved by using state-of-the-art components, such as an incredibly high specification low-noise voltage reference and a very stable oscillator. All components are surface mount and each have had their values specifically chosen for optimum performance. This enables the clock to reject interference, minimise possible jitter and remain incredibly compact.

How Do They Compare?

Having tested clocks from some of the leading brand names in the market we couldn’t detect any differences between the Audio Upgrades C1 clock and those costing up to five times more during listening tests! The Audio Upgrades C2 clock takes things even further, and we have yet to hear a clock upgrade which gives a boost in sound-quality like it. Even with so-called “2ps, even 1ps” “ Low Jitter” claimed clocks.
